Entertainment

Entertainment marketing has always been about the audience and the moment. We work with the studio behind the Michael Myers franchise and its producing partner on the Halloween films, and we bring the same systems to a release that we bring to a product launch: the audience built before the date, the launch run as a campaign, and the results read in numbers.

What growth looks like

A franchise is a brand with a calendar. Between releases the audience has to be kept; at release it has to be reached everywhere at once; afterward the merchandise, the streaming window and the next film all depend on knowing who showed up and from where.

The systems are the ones a consumer brand needs: a site and a store that own the audience, social and video run as channels with a number, paid media at launch measured against ticket and merchandise sales, and email that keeps the fan between films.

Questions

Who do you work with in entertainment?
Trancas International Films, the studio behind the Michael Myers franchise, and Compass Pictures, its producing partner on the Halloween films. Both in Los Angeles.
What does a release engagement look like?
Audience work in the months before, a launch campaign across paid, social and email around the date, and reporting that reads by market and channel. The systems stay in place for the next one.
Do you handle merchandise and e-commerce?
Yes. The store is one of the systems, with the order system and the ledger connected so a launch can be measured in revenue.
